Salsa Profiles mission is to create and bring synergy, excitement and awareness to the Latino community. Salsa Profiles was founded in 1986 by Mr. Chester Rosario. In 2001, Mr. Rosario assembled a committee to establish a non-profit organization which shared his same passion and vision. Salsa Profiles airs a weekly program by the same name on local cable systems. This program brings local events (parades, street fairs, job fairs and other issues of interest) to the Latino viewing community. Currently, we reach over one million Latino homes every week. Our goal is to reach the four million Latinos in the tri-state area and eventually expand to other high-density Latino cities. Salsa Profiles is working to expand programming topics and focus on the diversity of our community. Some programs will be focused on our youth, with the goals of encouragement, nurturing their dreams and helping set positive goals. Others will teach and help further explore our heritage and strengthen our Latino roots. Salsa Profiles mission is to form and foster partnerships that lead to uniting and strengthening the Latino community.
